Our second meeting with director Goran Kapetanović was to work on his feature-film project, My Aunt in Sarajevo. Like his previous production (Refugee 532), this film touches on the issue of refugees from the Balkans who gain the chance to start a new life in Sweden. Things become rather complicated for Zlatan, who has been out of touch with his homeland for years, when his daughter takes him on a surprise trip to Sarajevo. This journey, intended to help uncover her Bosnian roots, proves to be a turning point not only for her, but also for our hero, who has disassociated himself from his past. The film was a great success at festivals, and recently went on general release.

We were involved in the production right from the first clapperboard: our DIT specialist was on the set to do preliminary correction work, data wrangling, and synchronise the sound. Additionally, we coordinated the subtitling of some footage. After editing, we also did conforming, ACES colour correction, grain management, online, mastering, as well as deep archiving.

Thank you for trusting us!
