Tygrysy Europy (The Tigers of Europe), directed by Jerzy Gruza, is an 11-part series about the boom of Polish capitalism. The director gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the world of the nouveau riche, humorously revealing their complexes, arrogance, blunders and snobbery. Apart from making gigantic fortunes, this community also produced a cultural model of their own that was marked by primitivism and intellectual poverty. Without all their privileges and often ill-gotten gains, they would have been nobodies.
Tygrysy Europy was the latest project commissioned by Polish Television, and the Fixafilm team provided full image restoration, colour correction and mastering.
